When I paste the MdC code here, I see some above each other but not when I paste that back here or in UnicodePad, so it looks like the rendering works different in different contexts. The converter may be wrong: only:, not-should cause characters to stack, and it should prevent that with a ZWNJ or force that (if supported) with U+13430. I think your initial hypothesis is correct, that the author simply pasted an English ~~word~~ phrase into an English/ASCII to Hieroglyphic converter, with the second word being Angry, and shit out some hieroglyphics.
Ironic, considering the punchline of the joke
