Well, most cars don't REQUIRE it, but most cars lose features if it doesn't have network connectivity.

Good luck finding a car made after 2020 that doesn't have at least one or two features that require the Internet to function.

Like the person I responded to who thought needing an app to find a charging station was an improvement over just having them all over like gas stations.

I got a used 22 reg hybrid last year. It's never had to connect to the internet.
