You’d think that there ought to be a teal voter: conservative, both in terms of conserving economic resources and in terms of conserving our natural resources. But I guess there are not many big businesses lobbying for these types of policies, whereas the fossil fuel industry goes hard with lobbying.

Yes. Me.

And a lot of people I talk to, maybe it is my biased bubble. But there are a lot of people in the teal camp. I don't have social media beyond Lemmy.... So these are IRL people, far more than 5% in fact.

I hope that when the vote is counted, teal voters will have had the courage to stand behind their values rather than be afraid of the "wasted vote".

If polling shoes a consistent above 5%; this is far less of a concern.
