Privacy has become a very important issue in modern society, with companies and governments constantly abusing their power, more and more people are waking up to the importance of digital privacy.
In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.
Some Rules
- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don't promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
- Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience

If dad is working on his own opt out project, maybe suggest he build playlists and such for the kid offline? Something he could load on an old iPod or something similar? I apologize, I don't know the newest tech for playing music now, but I think the only way to keep them away from the home assistants and Spotify is building your own.
Thanks, yep, I should clarify. The dads brother is working on an opt out project and he is trying to learn, but in very early days yet. I think it is because of his son that he would like more privacy but he is fairly backward about it. For example he says he wants to do it and is going to start, but afaik he hasn't even done any basics, but he is definitely going to start more as he is also getting nudges from me, his brother and another friend of ours.
