Loving father wiped out by driver on phone over the limit in a car far bigger than is necessary traveling faster than is safe. Suspended sentence and behind the wheel again next year after a class on speed awareness they will most likely sleep though.
personally i think ripping up the tarmac will do more to reduce car crash dearhs than locking people up for a hundred years
I agree. Prison is a hammer and everything is a nail. The issue is people who have proven themselves incompetent at the wheel still hold there license. There is usually the excuse that they need it for work or they need to take there step sisters mother in law to the bingo hall once a month so they need to drive. If you have a death by dangerous driving there should be no chance of a licence again.

Any place a human life is lost should be considered a critical infrastructure failure. Shut it down.
