FWIW this is China's ambassador to Israel, it's kinda in his job description to say shit like this. The bigger question is why does China have an ambassador in Israel but I guess that's just a byproduct of their "don't rock the boat, make trade deals with everybody, don't be belligerent" foreign policy. I don't like it either but it's where we're at right now, I hope in the future they'll have a more opinionated foreign policy regarding colonialists and imperialists.
China has an ambassador to the Zionist entity because sadly above all else China prefers commerce over ethical international diplomacy. China wants to sell electronics and EVs to whoever will buy them.
China is so commercially oriented they even do things like sell weapons to both sides of conflicts, like how they sell guns to both India and Pakistan.
