From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

And of course I'm installing Linux on it. Install went well, even the fingerprint sensor built in to the laptop works.

Mostly this will be a school and DND machine but always nice to have a functional laptop for whatever else I may need it for.

Dude, everyone on this thread is talking about the rolling release nature of Arch being a risk with stability. You are pushing your point about a different thing (customization) and using it as an argument against the former. You are the one who is off topic here.

I'm pushing my point about what I was clap talking about, dude. Did you miss that? I said you can CHOOSE YOUR OWN UPGRADE FREQUENCY.

I'm saying that is a mitigator for installing compromised packages. Yes?
