Can't say I'm knowledgeable, so I'm throwing some words i heard around. Did you change the DNS for your ISP each time you made a new connection?
Your DNS could help identify you, but only if someone already has a handful of other data points. DNS fingerprinting is only really helpful if someone has DNS leaks with their VPN.
