Back in the day I followed a blogger who was a designer and also travelled over the world. He had the habit of photographing local infrastructure like trash bins, lamp posts and such. He's said, infrastructure all over the US looks the same, including even overseas territories. When one is dropped off in US Virgin Islands, they could think they's in the continental US if not for the trees.
