Dutch: verstandskies, translated to wisdom tooth as verstand means wisdom, but if you change the intonation, you get the real original word: ver-stands-kies, meaning far standing tooth. The English word wisdom tooth is a wrong translation of the Dutch.

So now I think the Dutch far standing tooth is a wrong translation of wisdom tooth.
in German it's also wisdom teeth. I'm wondering why that is now..
Because they come in when you're an adult by old timey standards
