Even as an adult I learned that the company who made these never meant for kids to get a free sucker if you turn this in.

Yet when I was a kid our local convince store did honor this. If you got the Native American with the star I could turn it in for a free one.

Yess! Our local convenience store honored it, too! It had to be the complete image, if it was partially cut off, it didn't count! I didn't know it was never the intent... I remember going through the bin trying to see which ones had a star visible without unwrapping them... Haha.

And now this is reminding me of also trying to peer up through the 20oz soda bottles without opening them in hopes of being able to read the inside of the caps so I could get a free one. Heh.

Man miss the cap one. Opening yellow lid on the Dr Pepper and getting that Free Soda. Man the joy!
