Are people getting their IDs scanned at weed shops? I feel like if a weed shop wanted to scan my ID id tell them to get fucked and go 10 minutes away to the next weedshop.
Having been to quite a few week shops across Michigan and Ohio, you'd just be unable to buy weed, and once you've refused and made a mild scene, they're calling all the weed shops in the area with your description to tell them you're acting suspicious.
While I'm not a fan of the practice, it's basically impossible to buy from a dispensary in many places without them wanting to scan your ID. Especially if your state has limits on how much you can buy per month.
ID scanning has become very common in Texas. Lowers insurance rates for sellers and gives the state a full database of alcohol purchases.
