I’m binging the entire series of Babylon 5. I’m two eps deep into season 2. So far, I would not recommend it. My biggest peeve is that their security is so bad it causes half the problems in the show. Then it gets resolved and everybody glazes the chief security officer. The aliens are a bit one dimensional but the interactions are good. I like the steady critique of capitalism. I think the long arc is getting into swing too.
Keep watching, it'll grow on you
Zathras agrees.
I'm just a bit ahead of you (maybe 2/3rds through season 2) and I have to say, in my ignorant opinion, things really improve as the second season goes on. (Admittedly, I mostly stopped as it's hard to find time in the summer but that's my memory.)
