Romanticized view of giving yourself up for the cause.
You often meet the same philosophy in kitchen staff.
Probably yeah. Pretty sad tho. I think it's time people realise that, unless working for charities or government entities, most of them are ultimately working for maximizing profits and not much else.
Nobody's going to get hurt or die? FUCKING PUNCH OUT. There's always tomorrow...
I guess it is weaponized basic needs.
Esteem Needs: The pursuit of self-respect and the desire for status, recognition, and appreciation from the people around you.
Self-Actualization: The personal drive to reach your full potential, grow your talents, and find true self-fulfillment.
Even then, if you are exhausted then someone probably will get hurt or die.
