My guy, of all my close friends I know a single couple with kids. Everyone else is struggling to stay afloat. Aside from that one couple, the others are more or less all just making ends meet as is.
I can't imagine many of them are really thinking "this month was really tight between food prices going way up, rent going up, and my wages staying the same. Y'know what we really need right now? A $10k medical bill to have a baby delivered, having to move to a larger apartment, buying all sorts of furniture, clothes, and services, and then another mouth to feed for the next 18 years. Then maybe we'll do it another 2 or 3 times!"
