I remember there was a classroom i couldn't enter without getting nauseous because one of the guys there doused himself in some kind of incredibly potent perfume
The stank lingered too, after a weekend the smell would be just as strong

Seriously, what the fuck is up with highschool boys in the last decade or so going bat shit crazy with the perfume??? I feel like we have reached new heights of olfactory toxic masculinity torture.
The first time I even thought about cologne was for a formal business meeting in my late twenties. The closest I got to wearing fragrances (not gonna lie, I kind of hate that term, now that I've heard it so often) in highschool was aftershave; I literally didn't know a single guy who wore perfume (and very nearly no girls either), despite going to a fancy private school with a bunch of rich assholes. Times change, huh.
Why does this trigger me so much? I actively avoid teenagers and cross the street because of the smell now. And that one colleague who smells like a horrid concoction of axe body smell (kill me now) and Hugo Boss The Scent Eau de Toilette (I know what it's called because he constantly, invariably, incessantly talks about it). I guess some especially immature adults are affected by the trend as well. Wtf.
Okay. Rant over. I'm done. Gonna go hug my cats now to recover (thank you, home office).
