I’ve personally heard “Who smells so good?” while out in public many times, particularly when wearing Amouage Guidance or Guidance 46, but also with other fragrances like Maison Crivelli Hibiscus Mahajad, Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait, and Frederic Malle Portrait of a Lady.
You generally don't hear people who are offended by perfumes, while you do hear the ones who like it.
For me there is nothing worse than walking in nature behind someone whose perfume I can smell, I'm outside to get fresh air not to smell Hibiscus Mahajad Baccarat 540 or whatever.
I enjoy making "perfumes" out of essential oils. I never want to overpower my natural scent but rather blend very lightly to the point I think no one else will notice but me. It's a treat for myself and maybe to whoever gets a hug. Sounds like you're enjoying yourself, but be careful of acclimating too much.
