forcing admins to be aware that it even exists and then figure out a calculation to determine a value that would effectively disable it

at retrofed.com we carefully calculated this number, if anyone else wants to steal our research, we're using...

Haha good point, no need to overthink the calculation. :-P

Though the discovery that this anti-feature was even implemented in the first place is a much higher concern. This "feature" itself is one thing, but the lack of transparency surrounding it is a whole other matter on top.
