I think lying to your GP is a bad path to take. The clinical pathways exist for a reason.

The clinical pathways exist for a reason.

It's a nuanced matter. For example, in my country there are known quackery drugs (eg drug of unproven efficacy and even proven inefficacy) in clinical pathways.
