My poor wife has to deal with my adhd all the time, which includes cooking. I can't stand cooking, and have always looked for ways to avoid it. I've seen lots of people on here express the same sentiment, and I'm curious if anybody has any advice? What works for you to trick your brain into cooking?

I like cooking so maybe not the best advice. But for me I like cool gadgets and being frugal. Recently, I just cooked some lentils in my instapot. It took 10 minutes to prep, $5 to make, 15 minutes to cook, 15 to depressurize and bam! Delicious food that made 4-5 meals.

What makes it for me is; it was cheap, pretty quick to make, and cleanup was fast too. This was all because I have a pressure cooker (gadget) to speed up the process. It makes me feel like I'm winning.
