The rules for posting and commenting, besides the rules defined here for lemmy.world, are as follows:

If you post a serious question on friday and are looking only for legitimate answers, then please include the [Serious] tag on your post. Irrelevant replies will then be removed by moderators.

Saying “I’ll increase quality of life” is not the same as “I’ll give you cash” the first is a normal political promise and the second is a scammer. In the article you posted he just admitted in his own words that he won’t do it with the dems in the house. He does have final say in what gets passed in the end. He literally won’t “do it” unless they win. That means even if it was tried to be put through by dems he would spitefully veto. That’s his offer. He isn’t trying to pass 5k for people and dems are shutting it down he’s buying votes with a lie. Idk what you’re not understanding
