At this point, Its a possibility. Maybe corporates don’t want humans to be intelligent enough to fight with AI like in Terminator. So they are making people forget coding and stuffs in the name of assisting and made us lazy to prevent AI ig.

Quit advertising for the AI companies for free
Which is why people are able to mess with them and make viruses.
It doesn't have to? Somebody just needs to use it to bio engineer a virus so powerful we get wiped out.
