Privacy has become a very important issue in modern society, with companies and governments constantly abusing their power, more and more people are waking up to the importance of digital privacy.
In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.
Some Rules
- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don't promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
- Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience

Google Classroom is generally managed by the School's IT. Your setup is strange if they request public gmail account and not internal account in the school tenant.
Have you ever tried to make a google account? If they somehow let you create one, they ban you from your own account within some months/years.
This is definitely not a solution. You need something that won't lock you out from your school/work at the whim of some broken automated false-positive from an evil company with no way to contact support
How do you get a burner account without a phone number?
Or any teacher should be perfectly capable of setting up a throwaway account for teaching work, just like some are recommending the student do. Every piece of friction with data fascists is a positive gain for everyone else. It's the people opting for low friction who are greasimg the rails for fascists of all stripes.
