Simplest way to delete their userbase. They’re the last big Tech company that still has a semblance of respect for user privacy, if any.

No semblance, only a facade
Semblance. Are you saying that there are literally no privacy features? Privacy is a sliding scale, don’t gatekeep some certain level of privacy as “legitimate” and call everything else below that line fake, that’s disingenuous.
Compared to Google, Microsoft, etc, they are more respecting of privacy than other big tech companies.
They know people lack better alternatives, since all the other tech companies are doing the same.
Yes, I’d imagine that would remove the incentive to stay within the ecosystem.
