Ah I see, thank you for taking the time to explain! I'm a little curious how much of that perceived hostility in the initial comment was due to multiple unbiased people misinterpreting it in the same way, and how much of that was because they encountered it within the context of OP immediately responding with such over the top defensiveness (an example of the combative behavior I called out).
Generally on lemmy you have to specify that you're responding to OP when making a top level comment ("Hey op, not to nitpick but [nitpick]" and similar), otherwise it's assumed you're replying to the post title or article. Given that, I'm not entirely sure why someone would assume I was attacking OP directly without the context of OP treating it as a personal attack (and no, to be clear it's just a response to the headline. I only noticed it was a YogPost™ when they responded).
edit: Which is not to blame OP for the misinterpretation, just curious how that may have lead to further misinterpretation.
