Am I wrong to feel that the people that keep paying for this service, or others that do the same, deserve every awful ad they see?
I think normal people just wanting to watch a show or a movie, who pay for a service, should absolutely be getting an ad free experience. I don't think piracy can be expected to be the solution for everyone.
Yes, you are wrong because you are shifting the blame onto those who are getting screwed by no longer having the option of a plan without ads.
People who signed up for ad plans do deserve all the ads they see, because they agreed to that.
Fair enough I'll take that. My thought was if they keep paying for this Disney has no incentive to change their business model. So if enough users stop subscribing, there might be a change.
cable is still worst, it would be problematic if people are subscribed to every STREAMING service.
I think as long as we are going to live in a society that requires intellectual property, that rights holders shouldn’t be able do do their own distribution. Disney should have to license content out to distributors like Netflix or Hulu, and there should be safeguards in place to ensure no one distributor can corner the market either.
As long as we’re at it I should be able to order shows streaming a-la carte. Like if I wanted to check out Ted Lasso but I didn’t want to subsidize F1, I should be able to unlock it for $5 one-time viewing.
