Im glad I stopped falling for the subscription trap 10 years ago.
Same, circa 2012-2014 somewhere. As soon as Netflix stopped focusing on making sure they gave you access to more and more titles and started making their own TV shows instead, I knew exactly what was up. I cancelled, ripped all my DVDs, built a Plex server and started collecting media using alternative sources. ๐ดโโ ๏ธ๐ดโโ ๏ธ๐ดโโ ๏ธ
That was the last subscription I ever had and I cannot imagine a world in which I would ever have another. It would be like entering an abusive relationship on purpose. I've already collected more media than I could hope to watch/listen to/read.
