Did... did you read what I replied to? It doesn't get more on topic than that. The only "shift in rhetorical focus" here is you.
What, do you consider this Russia "doing well"? Is that the focus I'm supposedly shifting?
Russia is barely hanging on and on the verge of collapse and NATO isn't even trying...
... but also Russia is an existential threat to all of Europe and must be stopped before they kill everyone!
You'll see both arguments wielded by the same people, continuously, and they shift back and forth as needed.
