There were so much more websites back then. Now my google search result is mostly reddit
And DuckDuckGo results are 90% AI slop.
It's not that there are less websites. It's that google doesn't work anymore and you can't find them.
Not really. Google can only be as good if it actually has good stuff it can surface you. You can't find something that does not exist.
I've had a website at a .com address since 1997. Google used to surface it front page on relevant searches for over a decade. Not so much anymore - now if you don't know its unique name, you're not likely to find it. However, for the people who do reference it on a regular basis, Google does show it for them...
Has the website changed im the past few years like has it updated for mobile support?
Try a different search engine. At least part of the issue really is with Google, specifically.
I am using Ecosia with bing engine configuration. Google still surfaces better results for my case. What should I try?
