Or, ya know, the person it was based on. Who gave up his life and fled the country to blow the whistle and we did nothing.

I read the title. It's just insulting to invoke the film as the warning, in my opinion. Most of all because the warning actually came 10 years earlier than that.

The film is now 10 years old. This was all in good intentions.
