Trainers controlled their robots remotely with joysticks.

soo not autonomous? just more expensive battlebots... yawn.

Pretty sure it's at least semi-autonomous. In the video you can see the bots react to hits and recover their footing, there's no way a human can control all those reflex actions in real time.

Nlow that was a great show. I always wanted in on that too. Back when Radio Shack still dealt in parts for remote control cars.

Battlebots is awesome. A more expensive battle bots would be awesome.
