I still say we need to bring back banishment. Negotiate with Canada to let America use Baffin Island as like a new Australia, but way, way colder.

I wonder how that would work, IRL.
Like, the penalty for some crime is...you disappear. That's it. Like, you cease to exist. Everything you own is liquidated, you're given the money in some random currency and your identity is shredded. You're a new person dropped in a new country with just cash and a new passport that says you can't come back.
That's gotta be the premise to some book or movie or something right? Like Eraser meets Skyrim?
It'd probably work like it did in Australia.
Why not just give them to ICE? ICE loves vanishing people to random countries where they'll probably die anyway. /s
