Conservatism, boiled down to its core belief, to its very heart, is simply the belief that a certain small group (usually white, afluent, monocultural, with highly homogeneous backgrounds) has the right to inflict violence on everyone else.

No seriously. It's Edmund Burke and his whole shtick. Everything else is just dress-up really. Caring about the rights of women and everything just to pit one group against the next. They'll play the political game but really it's just they're yearning to return to hunting people for sport as the nobles they take themselves for.
