Cosplaying to be anti “American Tech”, then kissing the empire hand for blessing.

This is called “neoliberal euro syndrome”.

Enjoying a succulent Chinese meal.

But, more seriously...

The seized server belongs to Italian internet provider Autistici/Inventati (A/I). Dutch police are creating a digital image of its data to hand over to U.S. authorities, as required under the American request for legal assistance.

For years, A/I offered free website hosting and email services to thousands of organizations. It attracted the attention of the Trump administration, which regards antifa as a terrorist organization. In late August, U.S. authorities also labeled A/I a terrorist organization, alleging that it had supported antifa. NRC described the move as exceptional, noting that internet service providers are not usually held liable for what their users do.

Just looks like they were hosting traffic that Trump decided to label as Antifa and therefore Terrorist. No indication of what that traffic actually was.

Dude what the fuck

Amsterdam, I am extremely disappointed.

Fucking.... No. I don't want to be more disappointed. I'm already super disappointed with how everything's going and have to actively work on forcing myself through the five stages of grief just to stay sane.

This timeline sucks fucking ass. The whole thing is disappointing. It feels like daily I organically end up thinking "_ can't possibly be true, can it?" And then, yeah, some other pillar of reliability of normalcy and safety or long held hope is destroyed.

We are doing an absolute shite job of making the future brighter for our children and our children's children.

Makes me wonder about startpage, the search engine.

As required under fucking what?

Also, just to belabor the point, trump is Profa.

as required under the American request for legal assistance.

required

request

Aye, these words do not match. Amsterdam loudly and proudly claims credit for hiding Anne Frank. Making it one of their core tourist attractions. And yet when modern day digital Anne Frank is on their turf they hand them over without question.

MLAT - Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty.

These treaties have been around since the 80's, though I doubt they have been abused this way before.

[–] Natanael@infosec.pub 2 points 9 hours ago* (last edited 4 hours ago) (1 children)

Not valid unless it was a crime in the country the request is filed to. There's no "they asked so we had to"

[–] curbstickle@anarchist.nexus 3 points 6 hours ago (2 children)

The claim is terrorism and violent extremism, which would be a crime that meets criteria. And again:

though I doubt they have been abused this way before.

[–] Natanael@infosec.pub 1 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

Yeah so they need to present some basic evidence, not just an accusation

[–] curbstickle@anarchist.nexus 1 points 2 hours ago

I'm not sure why you think I would know what evidence they were presented with just because I told you what they used.

[–] EmilieEasie@fedinsfw.app 3 points 6 hours ago

I don't understand why people on the Internet will argue with someone answering questions about legal stuff as if the answerer is supporting that position or something

[–] ReptilianCleric@lemmy.zip 22 points 1 day ago (1 children)

So destroying their org wasn't enough. Kinda seems like they know somebody in that community has information they're trying to control...

[–] Forsho@sh.itjust.works 23 points 1 day ago (2 children)

It might be, but if you trace this from earlier, then I don't think they are after a specific someone.

they want data, anything that is not accessible for them before, they want to have it. i mean plantir or any other “mossad agency” is creating digital ID for everyone as we speak, big data llm is capable to identify who and where and what you are in seconds, as long as you feed it data.

[–] bedwyr@piefed.ca 6 points 1 day ago

Primarily they are after information on the groups opposing their far right buddies trying to seize control of europe. Maybe some specific stuff too, but I thought that was clear.

[–] ReptilianCleric@lemmy.zip 5 points 1 day ago

I definitely concede there's no way of knowing. And going for overkill fits the regime's MO. Just felt odd, I guess, mainly because they have such an insane intelligence apparatus, actually.

[–] Forsho@sh.itjust.works 87 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I mean take your pick, could be anything from the below list.

Exposing the “Epstein Class” online

Organizing “anti genocide” rallies

Sharing awareness about workers rights

Fighting discrimination and racism

Campaigns to end the abusing of human rights

Creating anti capitalist movements

Whatever the US pedo leader is against

[–] Wildmimic@anarchist.nexus 9 points 1 day ago

Don't forget "Anti-Semitism" by criticizing Israel (although that's part of the anti-genocide rallies)

[–] Yuccagnocchiyaki@lemmy.world 25 points 1 day ago (2 children)

To this regime, the potential crimes that could be committed would be claiming to be against fascism.

It then moves on to these criteria: "Common threads animating this violent conduct include anti-Americanism, anti-capitalism, and anti-Christianity; support for the overthrow of the United States Government; extremism on migration, race, and gender; and hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on family, religion, and morality."

https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/09/countering-domestic-terrorism-and-organized-political-violence/

So if you hate corporations, Imperialism, racism and gender bigotry, and speaking against those who hate anything different from their magic book

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 3 points 19 hours ago

probably anti-israel/ links with epstein crimes.

[–] MightEnlightenYou@lemmy.world 3 points 23 hours ago

I hate all those things, put me on the list!
