except it fundamentally makes no fucking sense, deporting criminals isn't good, it's saying "Hey we don't want to make sure these people can't hurt others, you have them!"

them thinking trump only wanted to deport criminals doesn't make it better, it just makes it bad in a different way.

hey, i’m not a nationalist, but i can see where these ideas come from.
a lot of immigrants left their country because of criminals and bad living conditions, they don’t want that next door.
the narrative is: if an undocumented immigrant commits a crime, they’re not charged with the crime, deported, and then come right back.
if that was all the feds were going for, just trying to take the criminals out of impoverished hispanic communities, i can see the appeal.
it’s wrong and a narrow world view, but these are victims. they were conned and people are being sent to literal death camps.
they’re learning.
you don’t improve the world by saying “well it’s your fault! fuck you! fuck everybody! you let this happen!”.
it’s natural and good punk rock, but you improve the world by allowing people to learn. By forgiving and inviting… not by rubbing their nose in their pile of shit… even if it’s their shit….
