This is the obvious course for a party that isn't yet totally brain-dead. They will reach out to Mamdani, and try a million different ways of reigning him in.

And the truth is that everyone has a price.

It may not be cold hard money, but it's impossible to climb the political ladder without at some point making deals with the devils.

Just how much of his soul is left is the big question, because something needs to change...

And the truth is that everyone has a price.

It is not a truth. What's true is that weak people pretend to be strong to win. Identifying genuine believers will avoid co-opting of the platform.

Weak willed liars fold at a price because they were always in it for the money. Some people want change will be damned if they are obstructed. The way Mamdani talks about our problems and then correctly lays out a systemic solution has sold me on him being genuine. He's an incredible person who is poised to change the American political landscape.

Partially true. Mamdani could still compromise to get things done. It depends where he draws his line for compromise. For example he said he will discourage the term "globalize the intifada" but he never used it to begin with.

Politics is compromise. To suggest otherwise is to ask for something other than fair political representation.
