This is how fasicsm fails, they turn on everyone until no one is left.
Or how it consolidates under a more unified ideology. E.g. the Nazis purging the SA during the Night of the Long Knives.
In the short term sure, but they keep going and replacing anyone competent with yes men.
Depending on what example you're looking at, that "short-term" can be anywhere from years to decades.
That’s why we have to fight it.
And those years can be filled with wars.
Lets hope!
One must be careful to not go after those who may have connections to remedy the problem.
