Anyone done anything smart with their hot water cylinder?
We have infinity at the moment but keen to switch to electric now we have solar to power it. I'd love something I can connect to Home Assistant but not sure what the options are.
I mostly want to measure power usage but being able to switch it on and off to control heating sounds good too. Some reddit post I was reading mentioned needing it to automatically heat to 60c once a day to meet legal requirements (to kill legionaires disease), which might rule out just using a shelly on a normal cylinder.
Anyone done anything like this?
