You're absolutely right.

It's like women finding a voice online and correctly pointing out the mountains of shit they have to endure, but instead of offering solutions and listening to the perspectives of men online, they collectively said "shut up the women are talking" and helped to create a generation of violent misogynists with warped views on sex and gender.

Shaming people might feel good but it only entrenches the views you're shaming them for. You can condemn someone's actions, their philosophies, hell, their whole identity, while having the empathy to understand where those views come from in the first place.
