Israeli airstrikes have targeted multiple areas in eastern and southern Lebanon, claiming to hit Hezbollah targets. Israel has been carrying out regular attacks on Lebanon despite a nearly year-old ceasefire between it and Hezbollah.

If Israel attacks Hezbollah in the south, it’s not a breach by Israel, but by Hezbollah. Read the ceasefire agreement.

Seems to go against the entire concept of ceasing fire. But what do I know.

I guess you don't know much about the current agreement...

I'm just saying, "as part of your cease fire deal, you may continue killing people in that area over there" is pretty counterintuitive.

It's more like "as part of the ceasefire you've agreed to disarm these terrorists. But if you don't, or they pose a threat to us, we will take care of them".

Oh well I'm glad they gave them a chance to do it themselves! Oh wait, no, they immediately started killing.
