Not gonna lie people are dumb as shit and fall for the easiest propaganda possible. A TV station aired a 'documentary' on people getting unemployment benefits and found two people who were willing to say, on camera, that they do not WANT to work. And people fall for it and say we need to destroy the welfare system. Based on TWO PEOPLE.
I could also create a documentary of my job which is also in the same welfare system and paint an entirely different picture but that won't get tv time.
We as communists should really lead people away from mainstream TV
We need our own TV and media.
But I do feel that our alternative media kinda underserves us.
BadEmpanada, HasanAbi, and especially the "MAGA coms" like Haz and Jackson Hinkle.
The people representing leftism or communism right now are just not what we need, but unfortunately, we're stuck with them.
We need more voices, new voices, more content creators, but also, people doing actual organizing and IRL activism.
We aren't stuck with them. If you do not choose your leaders, someone else will choose them for you.
