Interestingly, when he spends his political capital on the things he does, he ends up with more than he started with. That's how "doing the right things" works.

If only mainstream Dems could have figured this out decades ago...
But no, whenever they have 'political capital', they hoard it just in case they might need to use it later for something more important. And they end up retiring from office at the end of their terms with that 'political capital' still in their account, unused.
It’s like he’s investing in the community and seeing dividends.
