This type of syncing between devices is like the entire reason my project, Pinepods exists. It's a full podcast system with apps everywhere. Everything is handled server side. Which clearly isn't a problem for you since you're on a self hosted community.
You must be a big fan of Pendleton wool blankets and clothing. It sort of ties in with some of my American Indian (BlackFoot) bloodline. It's quite an interesting story of how that came to be. A lot of their designs tend to gravitate towards more traditional patterns and construction.
