I think that I understand. To translate, Pastor Doug Wilson gets very excited when he hears the salacious details of two consenting adults. Specifically, he is notably engaged when discussing same-sex couples engaging in fondling, oral stimulation, and anal sex.

Doug Wilson made headlines after giving a sermon at the Pentagon as part of Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth's monthly Christian worship service.

When I was young I worked a grunt-work job with some repulsive people, people I never would have associated with otherwise. Once I was doing some grunt-work with a guy I'll call Tony. (His real name is also Tony. Fuck you, Tony.)
Tony was a legal adult. Tony had graduated from high school and had a full time job, a car, a place to live, etc. Tony was the sort of performatively super-hetero guy we used to call "macho." Always making comments about women's bodies, taking every opportunity to suggest a level of sexual experience he surely did not actually possess, etc. I was very young, I was very naive, and even I thought Tony was full of shit.
On one particular day, Tony was cheerfully and self-righteously showing how macho he was by ranting about "the f*ggots," how much he hated them, how despicable they were. As if this was just a totally normal topic of conversation among young blue-collar men-of-the-world such as ourselves.
I told Tony that I was actually in favor of encouraging as many men to "turn gay" (I never imagined that was a real thing, I was just trying to express this in a way he'd hear) as possible.
Tony's demeanor changed. His face darkened. He looked at me and said something like "What the FUCK did you just say?" He was genuinely upset.
I told Tony that if more men were gay, that could mean more unattached women in the dating pool for me. If more men were gay, it would mean more unmatched ladies out there for him.
I wouldn't say it took him a long time to work through this, exactly, but the contortions of his face made it clear there was some working-through involved. He was sort of floored. Derailed. Off-balance. He tried to recover: “Oh yeah, that would work out that way,” with a weak smile and not much conviction. It was pretty obvious that this had never occurred to him, not for one second.
I’ve wondered sometimes, in the years since, if he was closeted himself. But how could I know, really?
Closeted or not, I think he was into homophobia for the permission it gave him to hate An Other without reservation or regret. He thought of homosexual people as exotic and far-away, a phenomenon with no actual relevance to his daily life. And of course, that very attitude, that culture, that environment, made it next to impossible for him to meet any real person who would openly identify as homosexual. His hate made homosexuality exotic in his environment, and that exoticism gave him permission to indulge his hateful impulses, a vicious cycle.
Queer men are sometimes more masculine-looking than straight men, both in appearance and in interests, if I can for a second stereotype a group of people I know fairly well.
Interesting insight. I hope Tony didn't end up predictably, beating on some poor woman in a trailer park.
Mercifully, I got an opportunity to leave that job, and instead work at a public library.
As a result, I never saw Tony again.
So that's funny.

I've wondered about that. I suppose failing trust in your local instances of those organizations, then one should strive to build solidarity in their local communities (which, really, we should probably be doing anyway), though I know that isn't practicable for many.
The best option in that situation may be, loathe as I am to say it, Reddit. There's a liberalgunowners community in the Fediverse, but it's not quite as established as Reddit's yet (be the change you want to see in the world!). Not to say that subreddit isn't a target for bad actors (it certainly is), but it's at least easier to control your exposure to risk.

There's this really notorious wokescold in my local organizing community who joins EVERY leftist space and fractures it. I stopped being friends with them after discovering they were trying to blackmail and defraud a local LGBT charity. Although they've been banned from a lot of organizing groups, their method of aggression is to frame themselves as a righteously indignant victim, so it takes a really long time to be able to effectively call them out on their behavior. Their complaints about other organizers would, if repeated by back to a third party who didn't know the context, seem reasonable or sympathetic.
I thought they were making all these accusations due to past trauma or mental illness, and I was already distancing myself from them when I found out about the blackmail. But this wasn't just one person. This is a Type of Person who is allowed to exist unquestioned in most Leftist communities.
Meanwhile, a chapter of one organizing group you mentioned (that I won't repeat, but if you know you know) has sexual assault prevention bylaws which were written by an alleged serial sex pest or alleged rapist, depending on which victim story you believe. Said individual has allegedly convinced multiple formerly homeless trans women, some decades younger than themselves, into cohabiting with them in their large estate home. After these bylaws were published, most female-born people left the organization, leaving only male-born people and very early transition transfems (who were promptly taken advantage of, allegedly).

People like him made me reconsider freedom of religion. I think any religion advocating for stripping other people's rights and or wanting to dominion over society first should lose any state funding and tax exemptions, and any religiously motivated act of terror or conspiracy attempt of subverting secular democracy should be also be punished with one's religious rights getting stripped in prison.
