Locking due to rule 6. Cudos to everyone for making the thread reasonably level headed anyway - All participants earn four points.

Nobody going to say yes here. Maybe ask in reddit

You have to be truly brain-dead or evil to vote for him. He doesn't even pretend to be good! At least Dems pretend, which means getting swindled by them is not as insulting.

Nope, absolutely not, and I would have been extremely surprised if he had been an option at all since he isn't in any way established in the political world here in Sweden

[–] starlinguk@lemmy.world 3 points 9 hours ago* (last edited 9 hours ago)

Doesn't Sweden have a pretty damn right wing government, though?

[–] Reverendender@sh.itjust.works 2 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

What, y’all don’t have write-ins?!

[–] stoy@lemmy.zip 1 points 14 hours ago* (last edited 14 hours ago)

You can take a blank ballot, and write the name of the political party you want to vote for, and it will be counted.

Trump did not participate in the latest Swedish election, so it would be impossible for any one to submit a valid ballot for Trump.

Does anybody here support Nazis?

I would hope not

[–] spankmonkey@lemmy.world 17 points 15 hours ago* (last edited 15 hours ago) (2 children)

Of course not. Voted against him in 2016 an 2020 too.

Oh wait, did I fail a loyalty test?

[–] azimir@lemmy.ml 7 points 11 hours ago

You passed the one that matters: you're interested in having a democracy.

[–] InternetCitizen2@lemmy.world 9 points 15 hours ago

Same. I thought he was terrible as a candidate. Confirmed beyond doubt once elected. Don't think there will be many alt right types in the feddieverse.

Admiral Ackbar says what

(I've never voted R in my life)

[–] smeg@infosec.pub 12 points 15 hours ago (2 children)

I voted R exactly once in a local race. In the previous election during the Tea Party wave, an utter nutcase ousted the usual Republican for the party nomination for county judge. The guy was a menace, the worst, and was openly corrupt. In the next primary, the usual Republican won the primary, but the nutcase decided to run as an independent. I voted for the R once and only once, to keep the nutcase from getting a second term.

[–] charade_you_are@sh.itjust.works 3 points 15 hours ago

That's pretty legit, good job imo

[–] Ledericas@lemm.ee 1 points 13 hours ago* (last edited 13 hours ago)

i heard many people voted R to get rid of the crazies, but they support the complete opposite of the alt-right, this is in response to massive voter suppression in thier states. i wonder if people should do it more often, become a registered R just to vote for someone less crazy than a magat.

Everybody in my circle (college educated mid super class) voted against.. only people.in my " circle " that voted for him are brainshashws christians or technicians at work el that have read 1 book in their lives.

[–] venusaur@lemmy.world 1 points 5 hours ago

You mean mid upper? If not, what’s super class?

[–] Pirate@feddit.org 6 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

That book being "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" I assume?

[–] GreenKnight23@lemmy.world 3 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

I get that reference.

I read the book just after it was published. it had some good advice in it.

that said, the kinds of people who read it generally turned into fascist supporting shitheels.

[–] Reverendender@sh.itjust.works 4 points 14 hours ago

No. Come at me, ICE!

[–] thisbenzingring@lemmy.sdf.org 4 points 14 hours ago

I know people who did, but I did not. I suspect I know a bunch of people who voted for him.
