For the people that need to hear it:
You can leave, and you can tell them those exact words.
You just don't think your friends and family will understand, and don't ask yourself why you would care if they didn't care about your happiness.
I can and will leave whenever I feel like it.
Unless you are there with someone else who is driving and not read to call it yet. But I'll usually step outside for a while or something.
I got feet.
Most of my friends don't exactly live close by.
It'll just take longer is all.
meaning you live in a part, where you can walk within a day to your neighbors. that's not given everywhere.
here we have sufficiently constant public transport and if that's not working there are always taxis.
anyway, i guess the picture is about people who are to anxious to "simply leave"
Please refer to my previous comment.
My bro in-law is one of my favourite people, he'll turn up to birthdays, general celebration's and get togethers and just vanish at some point and we're all just like "yup, he's done now!" It's just nice to see him!
This is me. When I'm done it's the Irish goodbye for me.
I have this even with friends and family...
Of course. For not friends or family I usually wouldn't even make the effort of going into a social setting where this becomes a problem.
I just don't go in the first place. Problem solvered.
I have to leave for an after work social event soon. This is my future...
I regret I have but one clichΓ©d response to give
"It would make Mum sad"
