Sometimes I swear the Feds are aliens in disguise. I mean just look at RFK jr

[–] SnarkoPolo@lemmy.world 3 points 2 hours ago

Don't give them ideas.

Killing tapeworms is murder, but they're parasites rather than humans so we don't care.

[–] nieminen@lemmy.world 13 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

To be 100% accurate, the human fetus is also a parasite.

[–] Maroon@lemmy.world 4 points 2 hours ago (2 children)

Sorry, but inaccurate. It may be described as a commensal relation at minimum.

The foetus propagates the parents genes and contributes towards the perpetuation of the species which from a biological perspective which is good. In a parasitic relation, the host only loses and the parasite only gains. In motherhood, the body is actually going out of its way to actually accommodate the baby and in return the baby does confer some positives from modulating the immune system to make the mother less susceptible to allergens to downright increasing infection fighting capabilities (see foetal microchimerism).

I feel this need to add this: I know this is a meme, and that I'm very pro choice.

[–] nieminen@lemmy.world 2 points 39 minutes ago

I don't disagree with most of what you're saying, but parasite still fits. The definition says nothing about generic source.

[–] Senal@programming.dev 3 points 1 hour ago

Are those designations mutually exclusive?

[–] BlackLaZoR@lemmy.world 3 points 5 hours ago

Killing mosquitoes is a murder too. And I'm all for mosquitocaust

[–] hakunawazo@lemmy.world 8 points 9 hours ago

It's self-defense.

Tapeworms are full of human DNA as well (your blood)

Which one contains human DNA?

  • picture of dolphin fetus
  • picture of tapeworm

Actor best known for playing laughably dumb characters, turns out to actually be laughably dumb.

Playing to his strengths, I suppose?

as soon as the news came out about him attending a far right church of his brothers, and him whining about not getting "lead roles" broke his mind.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 2 points 5 hours ago

i could understand attending your brother's church to support your brother (and give them advice). if one of my siblings (not the dipshit one) was clergy of some sort or a church musician and i lived nearby, and their church was not preaching something absolutely repellent, yeah i'd goto support them. i know what it's like to be performing to an empty room. i have not had the heart to check my internet viewership at the last church.

Ya know? Gotta say.....when I watched the pro-life vs pro-choice clash thats been taking place the past 10 years, I didn't see this coming. I'm usually pretty good about seeing things coming, but I had no clue that the end game of abortion bans was just a ploy to save tapeworms inside peoples bodies.

Didn't see that one coming.

[–] ThatGuy46475@lemmy.world 91 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Killing tapeworms is covered under the stand your ground law

[–] GreenCrunch@piefed.blahaj.zone 45 points 1 day ago (1 children)

only if killed with a firearm, the second amendment doesn't protect anti-tapeworm drugs...

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 17 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

I thought it was our constitutional duty to consume a tube of ivermectin every day

Life begins at infection.

This ad has been brought to you by the first worm parasite to ever be appointed US Secretary of Health and Human Services.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 4 points 10 hours ago

he has one too many pig tapeworms and toxoplasma in his brain.

[–] X@piefed.world 33 points 22 hours ago

Your body is a temple for the tapeworm. God sees you when you murder His precious tapeworms, and you’ll be made to answer for your sins when that big ole judgin’ shindig in heaven goes down. Can’t say I didn’t warn ya.

Wait until the pro-lifers discover the antibiotics they pop when they're sick kill organisms inside of them... Life is sacred when it's not their bodies.

[–] foo@feddit.uk 27 points 23 hours ago (4 children)

Billions of them. Each tablet is a genocide. Ban antibiotics now!

(But, actually don't.)
