Reddit thinks they're an exclusivity club nowadays. Love that mentality for them, just a platform full of bots, misinformation purposed for political polarization.
They wouldn't even let me delete my account last week, "errors occured" so I just uninstalled. Good riddance.
What are they going to do when they kill the rest of the olds that contributed and built that site?
My local subreddit replaced the mod during the APIpocalypse and it has turned to next door style whining and bickering. Then there are the also-whining counter whiners, and the shills.

I'm going to try hard to make Lemmy the thing I open before Reddit.
I got banned from reddit after 11+ years (not entirely sure why). Never bothered to make a new account but did use old.reddit.com. That said, my reddit use has been dropping for months.
I guess I'm forced to not use it now. LOL.
Oh well.
I got banned for writing that Ashley Babbit was a traitor and was rightfully shot for storming the US Capitol. She was a member of the US military and will fully participated in a violent unsuccessful coup that planned to kill the VP at the very least.
I got a ban for updooting a post about Luigi. Reddit mods are fascists.

I know that you meant this as a joke, but this is literally how online communities are built. One really dedicated nutter just keeps posting OC whether anyone else wants it or not, and slowly other people start adding stuff because it's an active place.

Reddit has some cool communities that don’t quite exist elsewhere, and even though I’ve found old-school forums for some of them, the vibe is different (usually older people who are often retired and can’t envision not having money or free time).
I used to pay a sub to Reddit but stopped back when they shafted Apollo. I wonder how things might have gone had Reddit focused on its community rather than the sad process of enshitificafion.

My old account was banned from reddit a bit over a year ago. I don't remember what I said that caused it, but it was anti-Musk.
I used to contribute a ton to that site, but after the ban I didn't bother making a new account. I just leeched the site using old.reddit and had ad-block on. I found my use was reduced over the last few months because it's just recycled posts these days.
I'm not creating an account just to browse old.reddit and see memes from 3 years ago.
They're definitely doing A/B testing; I just tried it in a private window and I can still access it, but posts like this are becoming more frequent.

Reddit has gotten really lame, there's always been saddos who troll through entire post history's when they can't win an argument.
Lately they've changed stratagies to calling people underage instead hoping mods delete accounts or something I guess. It just comes across as absolutely pathetic to me.
But yeah Reddit is definitely breaking old.reddit on purpose and will probably be just mostly bots soon .
I have a theory that only shitstains complain about "people digging through post history". Let's put it to the test:

It's also been forcing login to access new reddit, so as far as I can tell the site is just completely unusable for anyone without an account.

For the unfortunate times the info you need is only available on Reddit:
Get LibRedirect for your browser and enable Reddit in the settings.
The Redlib frontend is so much nicer to use on mobile than having to zoom and pan around non-stop in old.reddit
