Rust is an "industry plant" language. There's an active campaign to shield it from criticism, by claiming no part of the language has any drawbacks, and that all haters are Brian Lunduke fans angry about trans people. In reality, it is being pushed onto things where its strengths are more often shortcomings, such as game development, where it's causing active harm, especially as you'd need something with an actual C++ interop, and not just a trendy language written by someone who got angry for management forcing them to write FactoryFactory classes for stuff that could been a single function. I get that Functional Programming is "mathematically correct", but it shouldn't be the only tool, and you just go back being the person who forced you to write the FactoryFactory class, just because they read Uncle Bob.

they should eliminate the way jurors are selected, mostly because its poisoned fruit from the tree. because people are inconvenienced the moment they get the summons(ripping away from your jobs, and your income).

they should have a jury hiring selection instead, paid an actual wage of that state to be a juror, but have alot of them to prevent biases and its volunteering not "conscripted" by rotating between groups, because alot of retired people, or people who want to be on jurors never get CHOSEN. at the moment most jurors are biased asf in most cases, of the types they choose.

i also liked another countries method of jurors, having judges to determine the case and decide like a juror would instrad, because they know a layperson is going to be more biased regardless of how they are chosen in a juror pool.

You want unpopular? I'll give you unpopular. No-kill animal shelters are ultimately more harmful to animals than kill shelters.

Instead of euthanizing one violent or chronically ill or old or otherwise unadoptable animal, you spend your limited space and resources keeping it alive while you turn away a dozen perfectly healthy and well-behaved animals who could have been adopted but were instead let loose on the street or were euthanized elsewhere.

Even euthanizing otherwise adoptable animals is a net positive, because there are more companion animals in need of homes than there are homes willing and able to take them in.

As long as it's legal to make your animals make more animals, culling their populations will remain an ecological necessity. Which brings me to unpopular opinion #2: it should be straight up flat out illegal to own a pet that isn't spayed or neutered, no exceptions. I don't care if you think your munchkin cat's fucked up tiny legs are cute. The state should be able to seize your animals and have them fixed with or without your consent.
