VinoFarm - It was a nice positive beekeeping channel

Far North Bushcraft And Survival - Watching the guy survive in absolutely freezing conditions.

Sammie Kohn. Used to love her videos. Then she changed platforms or something and her content quality went downhill :(

Edit: I had to refresh myself on what happened. I guess she had a bunch of copyright infringement warnings for reacting to different shows. And ended up making her own website. Can't remember why I didn't follow her over. Maybe she had moved everything behind a paywall and I couldn't afford it, I don't recall.

MrBTongue

His video on Shandification was quite interesting though I think YouTube removed it from his actual channel.

He hasn't posted in like 8 years though.

They’re all really well done covers. No updates in years, but I highly recommend. Venus and XO are probably the ones I found to be most surprising.

Edit:

Oh, and FOR SURE Clownc0re! It’s a side project from a couple of guys from Snarky Puppy. Definitely check out the porta-potty and van videos.

Daniel Naroditsky, he was able to explain chess in a way that was very easy to understand and made playing much less intimidating

[–] linkinkampf19@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

Heather Feather and Jellybean Green are two ASMRtists I miss. Heather stopped years ago after her father passed away, and JB left more recently as it was too taxing on her.

Brain4Breakfast - Late countryball youtuber. Loved his dry humour, sketches and takes. Notes on Nationalism helped me a lot when the internet just became common and information overload became a thing.

[–] driving_crooner@lemmy.eco.br 2 points 2 days ago

GoldPlatedGoof, the guy came made a couple of top notch maths explanation videos and then completely disappeared and has not upload anything in 8 years. Hope he's OK.

[–] IWW4@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 days ago

Corporeal.

They were a garage band that did a cover of the Halo Sound track. Every now and then I check it out to listen to their version.

They have not posted anything in years.

I used to follow this linux techy guy who had a channel called QuidsUp and then one day they just fell off the face of the internet. That was a few years back and every once in a while I look again- nope, still mysteriously gone. No uploads.

[–] jay@pie.zerojay.com 1 points 1 day ago

The Game Chasers. Main guy handling the channel, being part of the show and editing ended up passing away from Cancer recently.

Cullt Moo, which is a real shame. I would really like more diners of Destiny.

[–] cepelinas@sopuli.xyz 1 points 1 day ago

Dani and probably more but having unneeded subscriptions doesn't bother me.

[–] combomeal@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago

The Delray Misfits fortunately unfortunately

[–] xxploit@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 day ago

Knuckleheads (I'll have to link it because it's too vague and other garbage shows up in search these days https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCu8t9UfJcTxlnMyu9uBcbTQ ) watch it every so often when we don't know what to watch and want something "light" and short.

I have however DLed all the episodes already, as I was concerned it may end up getting removed since Google is doing stupid shit.

Artisinal Cheese -banger philosophy essays, fate unknown

Ian Kung - sketch comedy, went silent around when his friend and comedy partner got hard-canceled.

Mia Cole -quintessential gen z essayist, got on meds (which helps a lot of creatives seperate from algorithm traps) and moved on to an offline short film niche

There's quite a few who do eventually return though. This has been a good year for it

[–] Setiyeti93@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 days ago

AgentJR. Imo the did the absolute best silent hill walkthroughs and honestly was very pleasant to watch.

At some point they finally found themselves and transitioned. While it was beautiful to see the content creation of obviously took ar backseat. All perhaps was just incompatible with their current living conditions. Either way they're uploads are negligible these days. Really sad.

I hope theyre doing well.

[–] captain_aggravated@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Afrotechmods. Straightforward electronics tutorials that demonstrate both the right and wrong ways to build circuits. Abundant information, occasional explosions.

[–] sad_detective_man@sopuli.xyz 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

That is a great channel name.

[–] captain_aggravated@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Not sure why he chose that particular name, he's whiter than Arbor Day.

[–] sad_detective_man@sopuli.xyz 1 points 1 day ago

Oh. Wait. Bad name. Bad channel name!

[–] Zarobi@aussie.zone 1 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Freelance Astronauts. Just a bunch of friends having fun, from the era of SomethingAwful let's play forums. I can highly recommend their Zelda and Mario Multiplayer and Oblivion videos

[–] cybervseas@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Apollo Legend and Camelworks. Two great young fellows who went too soon 😞
